Is it just me or are all the Canadian broadcasters hard to listen to? Bryan Hayward is still the worst, but after watching 4 of the last 5 games on Center Ice, these broadcasts are extra NERDY. Especially the Flames color commentator. He is so CORNY. Pointing out the obvious and trying to make witty and clever phrases at every chance. We are so lucky to have Bob and Jim. Oh yeah, and they pronounce Ivanans (EE-VAN-NINS) not (EE-VAH-NAHNS). Irritating.
Gord Miller & Pierre McGuire for TSN are the 2nd best tandem on NHL Broadcasts. 1st best is Jim Hughson (usual Canucks broadcaster) & whatever guy he gets put with (when he does CBC Saturday broadcasts). And hopefully you get to listen to Jim Hughson do the telecast on Hockey Night in Canada tomorrow night.
Sorry to say that all 3 of those guys are much better than Bob & Jim. We all love Bob & Jim but just putting the truth out there.

I have a feeling you wouldn't know a dork if you saw one.

One of my friends doesn't like In'n'Out burgers, because his mom fed him McDonald's when he was a kid, and to him, that's how hamburgers are supposed to taste.
Canadian biases towards Canadian teams aside (which seems like a no brainer to me anyway) I always enjoy listening to the Canadian broadcasts of games. Its nice to get the more indepth coverage and analysis that you get with most (Vs. aside) American media-- especially with the Kings because even to Vs. we don't exist to talk about.
ETA: Pierre also has a hard-on for Kopitar... he was drooling over that kid.
Pierre Maguire has a hard-on for the whole Kings organization, he is always singing their praises, when he gets the chance, if he seemed biased last night, it may have something to do with the fact that the Kings played embarrassingly bad. In fact, if I worked for TSN I'd have been pretty pissed that we'd bothered to broadcast this game, since the Kings didn't show up, at all, pretty boring TV.
