The Kings should be spending to cap maximum every year. As of right now the Kings' player contract outlook looks awesome. A lot of good young players, a market prone to long term contracts etc. I mean Lombardi probably saved himself 2 million a year from a restricted offer by getting Brown signed for the next six seasons. The Kings outlook financially is really bright and by adding Richards you could cap out your forwards at 7.8. He would be older than our current young players with a ring and a captaincy to his credit. I would think that he would reasonably demand a higher wage than any other forward now or in the next three or four years.
And plus Brad Richards is awesome. Playoff MVP, Lady Byng. Two way player. Put him with Frolov and you've got an awesome first line combination. Frolov-Richards-Purcell, isn't Richards a Newfie like Purcell? If Purcell's not ready re-sign Nagy. Frolov-Richards-Nagy. Frolov would score 40 with only 2.9 against the cap, Nagy would be relatively cheap, Purcell's locked up at 1.4 for 3 more years.
