exactly. or Backstrom if we just want someone for a few seasons so bernier can get a season in the AHL, then become back up, then split starts, then start.
I would trade Cammi and LAbs and a pic/ prospect. we can always find a backup goalie who is a ufa.
we get backstrom/harding to play 60+ games or so and we are set. look at nabokov he has started every game in SJ. his backup is there to keep the bench warm.
Why? You want to trade him for a UFA? Unless DL thinks he can then flip Campbell for a bigger return than Cammy would get at the deadline, there's no point.
My proposal on HF was Cammalleri to Toronto for Ponikarovky and a 1st. We downgrade a bit on the wing with the return, but we get a player who has puck protection skills about as strong as Frolov, as well as a very high first round pick.
If it's too lopsided, maybe we can throw in Dallas' first or our 2nd.
