Remember this **** from the last season? No, wait, from the beginning of this season actually. Remember the "Cammalleri is easily second best forward on the Kings roster", it's not even close? Remember the "Cammalleri will be the Kings scoring leader or maybe second best and there's no doubt about it"?
I sincerely hope that Cammi is actually the future of some other team and the tough, physical, stay-at-home d-man we get in return if the future of the Kings.
I would say it is about utilizing our assets and trading away a demanding player who can only do I thing (score)...and is sure not doing that as of late.
He can easily be replaced by one of our kids, or already has been replaced by osully...a player who sure has more dimension.
Speaking of which, WHYYYYY has cammy been on our PK unit the last couple games? Has he always been there?

i understand trade proposals...hell i've even agreed with a few of the trade proposals that include cammy...he's not even one of my favorite players...i just dont understands threads like this one..

this guy was a second round pick..and he scored 80 points last year....what else do you want? he started on fire but cooled off early this season...but like i mentioned in a different thread weeks ago...only gretzky could stay on that pace he was on...i expect nothing more than 30-40 goals out him...and i think he would have hit 30 had he not go hurt...his history shows he would have gotten hot again...and will get hot again...if not here, on some other team

paki -- don't you think that those points could be made up by osully, boyle, purcell, etc while acquiring a young, stay at home D...?
In my opinion, Cammy is just WAY too one dimensional for this game...and that being said, he is extremely streaky. Sure the injury bug hit him, and hit him hard at multiple times during the season. That being said, I DO think he could easily rack up those goals, but I almost consider him a liability when he is on the ice because of his lack of defensive skills.
like i said, i have no issue with trading the guy, i just dont see why people act like they feel good when he doesnt continue to score at an 82-goal season pace...
I sure am not on that boat, but that is a valid point...
I certainly did not expect him to continue his streak of 82g...Can't say I didnt hope for it though...
I got flamed, when I politely tried to warn people, that Cammalleri is not going to keep the same pace. Most people thought he would score 50, that's a FACT!
However, I have to add one thing about my post... those quoted statements are more or less literal, they are actual quotes! Also, those statements were said before Cammy's huge run at the beginning of the season. I don't address the 50-goal hype after Cammy's first 15 games. That one deserves its own subforum. Hell, even I said, he was earning his 6M paycheck at that time, I will not deny that!
