Should've done it before his value started dropping. Hopefully Deano can lay on the "Mike's finally starting to get back into game shape after his injury," angle.
Trade Cammi. We don't even need his leadership anymore, Brownie has taken that over too. As nice as it is to have a finisher (who seemingly can't ****ing finish at all right now), Fro makes such good plays, he doesn't need a real finisher out there. Anyone can be a finisher when Fro is on the ice (See: Dallman, Kevin).
his 2003-04 season was shortened due to a wrist injury but his projected totals for that season should've amounted to something in the neighborhood of - 11-12g 13-14a 24-26p - beyond those totals, and would've put his 24-year old season exactly in Cammalleriville. now before you stop and say that "you can't use pojected stats as a primer," ask yourself how exactly was Daniel Briere awarded $5 million dollars via arbitration a year ago.
so a significant injury and a statistically poor season following the age of 25 saw Ladislav Nagy resigning himself to having to sign a 1-year $3.75 million dollar contract.
injuries and bad seasons happen to everyone and they are a part of the game. i think that regardless of reason, Mike is VERY fortunate to have played in 161 of a possible 162 games over the last two years. maybe Mike continues ably with this trend as any other that are indicative of his level of impact and need on this team... maybe he won't.

I really hope he goes asap for a young D man. This team doesn't need him, and I'm tired of him thinking he can do things he clearly can't. I'm sure there is a Canadian team that will be willing to overpay for him. Just get it done...
