Edmonton we should win, Colorado stinks, Minnesota we'll play to overtime and St Louis we just stomped. Ottawa lost at home to Columbus tonight and Montreal choked away a win vs Pitt tonight after spotting the Rangers a 5-0 lead before their miracle.
There is still hope! Many of the aforementioned teams have games in hand. They just need to win them. Go Panthers! Go Thrashers! Go Oilers! Go Lightning!
Wouldn't it be fantabulous if Cloutier stayed hot and single-handedly brought us out of the cellar where they stock the Stamkoses and Doughtys and Schenns and Bogosians?
Then instead of blaming him for sucking, there'd be threads blaming him for NOT sucking at the WRONG TIME!

Last 10 games
LA = 5-5-0= 10 pts
Edm = 5-5-0= 10 pts, 2 games in hand, 4 pts ahead
Chi = 5-3-2= 12 pts, 3 games in hand 7 pts ahead
TB = 5-3-2= 12 pts, 2 games in hand, 2 pts ahead
Tor = 5-4-1= 11 pts, 1 game in hand, 2 pts ahead
Flo = 4-4-2= 10 pts, same number of games played, 6 pts ahead
Yes the Kings are playing well right now. However they are not putting up huge points and passing the other lower teams right now.
Depending on what happens at the TD (injures etc) the Kings could pass up Flor, TB Edm, and Tor. Yet all of the bottom teams are putting up about the same points right now.
I think the final standings will be more about who these teams trade away, and how the players that replace them play in the finale 20 games.
Even if the Kings finish dead last there is what a roughly 50% chance of them keeping the 1st overall pick? It looks like the Kings will get one of the top tier players this year.

Wait awhile.
Of those teams, I think that LA and Chicago are the only ones that might be on an upswing. Tampa Bay and Toronto are likely to get worse fast after Tuesday.
