Brown should get an "A" next year and go from there. It would be too soon to name him captain for sure.
I honestly DON'T want Blake to be captain next year, whether he's traded or not, but unless someone like Mats Sundin ends up wearing a Kings uni next season, I don't see anyone else currently in the organ-eye-zation that fits the bill.
I think Brown would be a great captain in the future, but I don't think he has the personal swagger or enough off ice charisma yet, and putting him in a position that demands respect from everyone and to be "the guy" would be too much responsibility too soon. He's only 24 and is having his first real break out season, let him worry about himself instead of himself and the last place team. Ask me this question in 2 or 3 years and I may have a different answer, depending on how much hes grown as a man (not just a player). I feel like fatherhood will also help him gain a leader mentality.
