Dear Brian: Rob Blake would look refreshingly nice in a Quacks uni.
1st + brian salcido, to maintain the team surf coefficient before blake comes back in 6 months.
illegalstick: check out anaheim's PP and PK rankings. just by inserting blake into those blueline PP minutes and saving whoever he displaced for fresher PK duty, they improve significantly in both departments.

You guys are right about the Pk/PP factor and the fact that obviously Blake is better than Beauchemin etc. I'm just saying when you look at that team and the D they have is it really likely they'll give up something like a high first rounder for him? Maybe, but I doubt it.
I still think a trade to a California team is the most likely scenario to get Blake to waive his NTC
While I don't think the Kings would be able to swing a deal for the pick (unless it's a three team deal), at least it will be easier to stomach the fact that the Ducks won't win the Stamkos/Doughty sweepstakes.
