Inside the Kings
Brian Boyle has been sent down to Manchester and Lauri Tukonen is coming up. I guess four goals in eight games wasn't
i know all the young guys should get some time up in the big league to evaluate their progress but god damn, BB has been killing it. Lets hope LT works out just as well.
Someone needs to explain this one quickly. Maybe Tuk getting showcased for a trade?
Boyle needs more minutes in Manchester? What is the possible reason behind this move?
I think Manchester needs Boyle more than Boyle needs Manchester at this point.
Tukonen could be part of a package in a trade, but I honestly hope not. This kid has had a lot of tough luck and it would be nice to see if he can get past that and have a real shot.
I don't understand the timing of this. Boyle has been killer. I completely understand wanting to give the vets one more week to showcase what they got and see what offers they bring. So I'm fine with not fitting in both Tukonen and Boyle, but sending Boyle down is ridiculous. He better be on his way back here in 10 days...
I think that Boyle has shown that he's ready to stay up with the big team. The Monarachs coach mentioned that Tuk seemed as if he had made the most improvement (or perhaps he was the most NHL ready), maybe they're trying to give him a chance to show that he can stay with the big team as well so they have an idea what they need at the trade deadline/draft?
Did none of you listen to Dean Lombardi on Kings Talk a month ago? The one where callers got to call in to talk to Dean.
He said he'll be calling up a BUNCH of young guys. Give them a few games, and send them back down so that they would know what to work on during the summer. So right now, Dean is just rotating the lineup and giving lots of Manchester people a taste of the NHL... so they know what to expect for next season.
Why else would they send Moulson down for the 2nd or 3rd time this season? The same for Peter Harrold, John Zeiler, Brady Murray, Ted Purcell, Jonathan Quick, and Gabe Gauthier.
I can't wait to see what Tukonen does.

This makes the most sense. Maybe Calder, Armstrong and Nagy on the move to clear room for Tukonen, Purcell and Boyle?
