Im sure DLombardi sent BBoyle down so he could bring up other prospects like LTukonen. Besides that the Kings don't want to lose a year on the FA front if he plays 10 games. So instead of having him for 7 years we have him for 6. Boyle is going to be a force just u wait and see. We just have to get a bitch'in winger to play with him. Beach anyone...

The FA thing doesn't come into play. Boyle will hit UFA at 27 regardless of how many seasons he has played...

Boyle isn't subject to any 10-game rule, methinks.
Yea I heard it, and that's great and all that they want to see the prospects, so why not send Giuliano the **** down? He sucks! Why would you send one of your better players down?? Because he's not ready? Define the word ready.... dominating physically, knocking one of the league's best defenseman on his ass and scoring four times. Pretty close to the definition. This is a joke, if not Giuliano at least send down Purcell if you have to see Tukonen
No offense meant by this, but fans like yourself drive me crazy. You wouldn't know a real "role" player if they skated across your jugular.
There is more to hockey than scoring goals and laying big hits.
Oh, by the way...Boyle's hit on Phaneuf...if you think he MEANT to hit him, then you really know nothing about this game...Phaneuf was trying to lay out Boyle, and Boyle was trying to avoid the hit.
Boyle has done very well in his short time in the NHL, and I'm as big a fan of his as the next person, but he has quite a bit of work to do on his game. Specifically skating, and positioning in the defensive zone. All fixable issues thankfully.
Guilliano is the best penalty killer on this roster, and it's no coincidence that since his recall, the Kings PK has improved tenfold, and this team has actually been winning a few games.

That may be true but how many times have you seen Phanuef prepare to unload on someone and instead get his A$$ handed to him? lucky or not that kind of hit makes your team more energized knowing that one of the best hitters in the game today just got pwned by a rook.

Whenever a sentence starts with "no offense" get ready to get offended. Yes Boyle has some improving to do (so does Kopi, and Brown). It doesn't mean he should be sent down. I personally don't think he was sent down primarily for "improvement". Yes he looks awkward on his skates but so did Luc for 20 years.
We need a good PK unit. I think Sully and Handzus have been solid and Gulliano has helped quite a bit on the PK. He (Guilliano) needs to be able to shut down the other teams big lines and have some offensive threat to stay up with the team. Other team's "defensive" forwards bring some offense to the table. At least the better teams. He is small and he can't score. He should be in the minors and we need someone who can kill penalties and score the odd goal. He is a short term player. And yes every team needs role players but he isn't playing his role completely. Not even close.
