I remember in Boyle first prospect camp King Biscuit said that during shooting drills Boyle was consistently hitting the corners of the net with his wrist shot-looks like that assessment was spot on accurate. I was impressed with his poise on the PP-he made a quick pass to Kopitar that was stick to stick he made on a split second decision-very impressive.
Boyle did look a bit out of place at times but thats certainly to be expected and with time/experience should starting improving on his positioning.
I agree, but you do realize that there were Duck fans that came in here and said Bobby Ryan was the next coming when he was drafted, right?

I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade...it's just that what I'm reading here is EXACTLY what a lot of Duck fans were thinking of Petr Tenkrat after he potted 3 goals in his first two games (one was an end to end OT winner) and then all of a sudden..........THUD.
It's just wise to wait and see what happens when defenses adjust and start paying special attention.

I get your point but Tenkrat also wasnt a 6'6" 250 lbs forward.

Boyle is playing on the 4th line with two other rookies. How are teams going to match up against him with the Kopitar line and the Frolov line? It makes for a very interesting last 1/3 of the season for us. Most teams do not have that deep of talent.
Oh and OP... I know its way too early to get excited about this kid, but hey we have all been waiting a verrrrrrry long time to see this kid play. You've been able to see your perry and getzlaf draft picks come to maturation and now it's our turn buddy ole pal.
