but it was nice to see him laying down a few heavy hits last night. In his first game against the Devils I watched him glide into a few half-hearted hits, and figured that the stories about him being soft for his size were true. Somebody must have said something to him, because he looked like he was hitting with a purpose last night.
He's obviously got great hands; if he can continue the scoring AND consistently play the body like he did last night, I'll be forced to start numerous ghey man-love threads in his honor.

Boyle led all the Kings in hits last night, and came close on 2, he was our second highest face-off winner at 58%, he's doing fine and will get better with each passing game, give him time.
My guess is he's starting to get the feel for the speed of the NHL before he feels comfortable lining up guys. The Detroit announcers were giving him some props last night. I hope he continues to improve.
He didn't score, but he did have a quality chance. The kid won't be going back to Manchester if he continues to play like this.
Finishing out the season out with the Kings is probable the best thing for Boyle & Moulson's development right now. Seeing the everyday life in the NHL will only make them prepared for next season even more. It would be good to see Purcell back up too.
i don't think the minus 2 should count against boyle, LABS looked awful on all the goals. The coverage seemed alright on those goals, so i don't think the minus 2 stat is accurrate, however LIDSTROM got schooled and his -3 was well deserved.
Boyle did get his chances again! I'm into it. I think his D playing days are over. Good to know we have someone to plug back there in case a defenseman goes down during the game. Hope he keeps it up.
