Don't you think that the variables provided by upcoming moves will greatly affect the Kings ability to overtake #'s 26-29? According to the Times, Blake should be back on the ice 3-4 games prior to the deadline, and might still be traded. I don't expect a fire sale, but other assets will be going too. Also, I expect that the on-the-job training for some of the youngsters could negatively affect the w-l column. True that these factors will be experienced by the other mentioned teams as well. It seems that what DL does in the next three weeks could negate any upward trend, thus "Stamkos" is a plausible outcome, at least at this point.
Thanks for the links by the way. Very interesting.
he Edmonton Oilers took another blow to their lineup on Monday, as the team learned that centre Shawn Horcoff will have season-ending shoulder surgery on Wednesday.
Lombardi will probably get the player he wants no matter how the team finishes. He has plenty of assets to trade up in the draft if the team were to get bitten by the "win bug".
Doughty IMO has the most upside in the draft,he is outstanding offensively and solid defensively.I saw alot of both him and Stamkos at WJHC and Doughty was dominant,Stamkos didn't really stand out to me.
