Wow, just found this gem of a site. Every Bogosian goal from this year, with a few of his fights as well. THere are also other videos of Petes players from this past year.
Don't forget to watch the SO videos.... hint.. hint....
Lubo,Preissing,JJ* and Hickey, how many soft, highly skilled puck moving D-men do the Kings need.
Trade down, whatever, the Kings need D-men to knock some people on their arses at the blue line and to help keep the puck out of the net.
Just my opinion, but it came from watching live, every home game for the last 5-6 years.
I think we could consider trading down a spot or two in the draft with a team that may really want Doughty and still draft Bogosian whom IMO is what we need...a tough defensive minded defensemen.
And incase you want to argue that he isnt as gifted enough offensively, he did put up more points than Doughty and Pietrangelo this year.
Bogosian has really developed this year and has improved in a short period of time. I think if he had played at the WJC's, he would be the consensus #2 pick. I have read numerous reports that Bogosian was the best overall player at this past years Prospects game. The best over Doughty, Stamkos, Pietrangelo and ...... Yeah, it is just one game, but the point is Bogosian is a different player than he was last year, even at the beginning of this year.
Many scouts and rankings have him at the top of the D pool now. Doughty is no longer the default #2 guy. There is no guarantee that Bogosian will be around at the 3rd pic, let alone 4-5-6.
I'm not saying that Bogosian is a sure thing at #2, just saying that Doughty no longer is.....
Doughty is 8 months older than Bogosian and has played 3 seasons in the OHL, compared to just 2 for Bogosian and Pietrangelo. IMO, with the improved play of Bogosian and Pietrangelo, Doughty could easily end up being the 3rd defensmen taken in the draft.
