The Kings players selected Blake to be the club's nominee for the award, which is awarded to the NHL player who best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community.

They took into consideration Blake's contribution to Rob Blakes well being.
Wow, this is sad cause I actually kinda agree with the nomination. There really is no true leaders on the team currently. I mean, there's the young guys with a great sense of the game but they're not team leaders yet, they need the experience to show to others on the ice as well as off. So, that's it, Blake's the guy. Oh well, it's just a nomination, not like he won it or anything.
Agreed.....however the Kids seem to like him and all. If JMFJ say keep Blakey then I am good.
Another year of Blake seems to be a foregone conclusion and I'm ok with that for one year, although I would rather see Stuart signed. I just don't ever want to go through with the NTC bs with him ever again. If he insists on a NTC, I'd say have fun in Colorado RB.
