About This Page: This is a discussion on LA Kings Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. While I would really like both of these guys off the team Im reconsidering Armstrong. He wouldn't too bad as a 3rd/4th liner..its Armstrong seeing PP time
While I would really like both of these guys off the team Im reconsidering Armstrong. He wouldn't too bad as a 3rd/4th liner..its Armstrong seeing PP time and 2nd line ice time thats really the main problem which isnt so much a problem with Armstrong as much as a problem with the roster/coach.
Wilsie on the other hand brings nothing to the table at all. You have to think next season giving Armstrongs Ice Time to Boyle, and letting armstrong handle 3rd/4th line duty and maybe a roll as a PKer makes a lot of sense.

Yuppers.
Oh, Hip, I got my "we lost the skyline" from Burning Shed yesterday. LOVE IT!
The kids love him so you can't take that for granted. As far as Army, he's best suited for to be a third or fourth line player at this point. Though, I think The Kings might have to consider whether or not to play Army on the wing more often.
We'll see.
As for Willsie... the guy is useless. I've never seen someone with so many golden opportunities do absolutely nothing with them.
Im a huge supporter of Armys but i agree, he isnt a 2nd liner and probably shouldnt get as much PP time as he gets. But with that said who is better suited for either of those roles on the current roster?
You should also take into consideration that he is more or less a real captain to the team than Blake, Cammy or Vis are.

Yeah its pretty sweet....we should probably post reviews over in the Media Forum. After hearing it though I cant help but wonder why PT isnt more appreciated.
Willsie is 100% useless. Doesn't hit, doesn't fight, doesn't score, doesn't stand up for teammates or himself. Ruins golden scoring chances that almost any other player would put in the net. Armstrong would be one of the better 3rd or 4th line centers in the league. He sometimes sets up players with beautiful passes, always stands up for his teammates and is just a great all around teammate. I think every team needs a guy like Armstrong, he's just used incorrectly on the Kings. Can't really fault him for that.
The problem with Army is that we keep seeing him as our 2nd line center. Thats why we need STAMKOS. So that Army never sees the PP or top 6 ice time again.
But reallly, once we get our #2 center. I dont see room for him anymore. Boyle needs to get a serious look next year, and its doubtful Handzus will be moved with that albatross contract.
Along with Jim Fox, Army is one of my least favorite Kings, BUT I do agree with those of you who realize he is horrible on the 2nd line. I'd keep him for the 3rd or 4th line. I'll be pissed if he is still on the 2nd line and seeing any PP time next year. Really don't understand why Handzus hasn't seen anytime on the 2nd line. It's not like either of them are lighting it up and Zues needs to work with some skill guys to get back on track. Army seems like a cool cat and a good team guy so there is value in keeping him, just nowhere near the 2nd line... Wilsie is a joke!!!!!
I don't want either of them anywhere near the 2nd line. Army is a FINE 3rd or 4th line center. He has no business on the 1st or 2nd line (I would argue the 3rd line, but we do need veterans in the lineup contributing SOMEWHERE.)
