I just thought this was so funny (and ironically true, in a sense). I have a channel on youtube with some Kings videos: http://www.youtube.com/user/LAHockey. Anyways a leafs fan writes this comment (on the bottom left of my webpage/channel) on January 23, 2008:

La Kings stinks each year! They don't win a Stanley Cup and they are always siting last place. They should be called Los Angelas Slaves. Beacause they are ALWAYS low and not high. They suck!!!! GO! LEAFS GO!

Then again, most Youtube comments are largely just showcases for the less intelligent people inhabiting this planet...

Many Leafs fans are like that. The media helps them be exactly like that, too. Constantly calling them "the only team that matters" and covering them for the first 15 minutes of sports shows helps drill such ridiculous facts into their head. Some are all right, but about 75 percent of them have absolutely no clue about anything. It's quite a shame, really.
