About This Page: This is a discussion on LA Kings Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. If Anyone runs across any video highlights of last nights game..
Would be much appreciated.
How does that move work? I mean, how is JMFJ able to burn Edler so badly? What is it about that move that makes it to work? When he pulls it back behind him, does Edler change his speed, thinking JMFJ's going to cut across to the inside?
It's a great looking move, but I'm just wondering if someone here can explain to me what's going on in Edler's head when it happens.

I think if you watch the replay again, you will see Edler loses his speed when he has to turn back outside to try and cut the angle down. JMFJ never loses his top speed, but Edler loses his. Giving JMFJ the inside & speed advantage. The poor part on Edler IMHO is the fact he never uses his stick.

Edler is saying "Aww Crap!!, I really blew that one!"
So you're saying that regardless of whether Johnson pulled that move or not, he still would have had Edler beat? Or was there something about the move that fooled him into thinking he was going to do something else?
I think that move works cuz it almost looks like JMFJ is gonna stop real quick and cut inside by pulling it to his backhand like that, which would in turn cause Edler to lose some of his forward momentum if thought the same thing I did. I know it's something I would do, and as a D-man (which I am horrible at) I would've thought he would've pulled up real quick...but thats just me.
in this case, click on the article about the kings that says something like, "even a blind squirrel finds an acorn" and once you are in the article, look for a link that says "WATCH NOW".
this works with every hnic game that i have noticed so far. you get the entire game, streaming.
