About This Page: This is a discussion on LA Kings Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. Who will be with this team next year? Who would you like to see?
For me, hmmmm
Boyle
Purcell
Moulson
Harrold
Bernier???
STAMKOS???
Maybe we're not in the lottery?
I would like to see Boyle find a permanent place in the line-up, and would love to see Bernier and Ersberg as our top 2 goalies given that we provide them a decent defense to play in front of them.
I would not mind seeing more of either Purcell or Moulson, however, I was not really impressed by either of them this season. They have potential, but definately could use more development. Purcell looked more complete, but was snake-bitten by posts & crossbars. Moulson didn't really look very impressive at all, but seems to have inherited or the Lucky Luc gene and pucks found their way in the net anyway possible. They both have potential to earn a spot with the Kings next year, but I do not want to see either of them in a top 6 forward role.
I would like to see Trevor Lewis get called up this year to see how he fits in with the organization, and I really like Oscar Moller, but he will not be ready for this coming season.
I absolutely do not want to see Harrold in the line-up.
For draft selection I would love for us to get the #1 overall pick and to draft Stamkos. Then I would like to see us trade up to possibly #5 or #6 and draft Luke Schenn. If we do not get the #1 overall pick and happen to draft in 2nd or 3rd I would use this draft board:
Bogosian is the most physical defensemen out of those by far..
Bogosian is... but I think the other players mentioned above are far more talented overall which is why they are seeded higher. I don't JUST want a goon back on defense. (Not that Bogosian is, I just like the other guys better)
I'd like to see Boyle playing in LA if the kings dont pick up a legitimate second line center.
Sully-Kopi-Brown(y)
Cammy-Boyle-Frolov
Or any combonition of LW-C-RW made up from these six.
Its basically the same top six we see now sans Derek Armstrong.
As for the bottom six, I'd imagine they'd include Handzuz, Armstrong, Guiliano, and Ivanans. Hopefully DL can pick up at least one hardcore kick-your-ass forward who resemebles Chris Draper or Darren McCarty (during his first Detroit stint) to take care of business and rough people up when they take runs at Sully. And one other grinder with a little bit of a scoring touch from the Monarchs.

You have Draper as a kick you ass type of guy. UHHHHH??? This team needs toughness and as of now we lack toughness on D. We have to make a play for Commodore or better yet a very low priced tough D-man who will put you through the boards , legally and illegally. ORPIK. Cost less than $1.5per and hits like a train.
