Love the Loki 4-pointer, especially after
a disappointing Kings' debut.
It's great news, it really is.
But let's not forget that Albany, tonight's
easily-vanquished foe,
was a bottom-dweller last season.
The AHL is a very erratic league--Quality of talent
and teams is all over the map, and sometimes
chemistry happens in the damndest
of places and times.
Some nights we are going
to run into some damn strong teams.
Manchester will next play twice in a row against Norfolk on Friday-Saturday, followed by a Sunday game against Hershey. I probably won't be able to post the Norfolk recaps until sometime on Sunday (or if all else fails Monday) so bear with me or take matters into your own hands
In other news, Loktionov has been named the Reebok/AHL Player of the Week. Not bad for "the second-youngest player in the AHL according to the opening-night rosters submitted to the league last week".
I know there are Monarchs fans that are not Kings fans, but I'm a fan of both teams, even though I only get to see the Kings on tv, and once in while when I'm on the mainland. If I ever make it to NH, I'm definately going to a Monarchs game!
I really wish there were highlights available online somewhere, or if the kings could show some clips during Kings games during intermission. I'm sure it would only generate interest in and connections to players in the organization for fans.
