We hear about Stamkos the whole time this year im not surprized since there is much preise around, anione that knows about NHL heard the name Stamkos atleast once in his life. Top prospect for sure is he second comming of Crosby? We are yet to find that out are we.
Now this is not "I hate Stamkos" thread actualy the more I read about the kid more i want him on Kings roster... BUT I dont appreciate all the "Lets tank for Stamkos" threads, quotes,etc. Kings should think TEAM first and i think they do, but we fans have some other ideas sometimes and I simply will trie to show those guys a different wiev.
Ok ill get to the point. I did some calculations and only if we become "Red Kings" will our team fall out of bottom five so i realy see no point in bashing "team spirit building" wins like the one against Detroit.
let me show u:
kings are 12-16-1 HOME and 11-14-2 AWAY at this time. If they play like Red Wings from now on they end up with 93pts.
If they play like Canucs (15th) from now on they end up with:
18-21-2 HOME 17-19-5 AWAY and 81pts
while if other bottom4 teams play like they did til now they get:
Tampa:
20-18-3 H 14-22-5 A ... 75pts
Toronto:
18-15-8 H 14-21-6 A ... 78pts
Chicago:
20-20-1 H 17-18-6 A ... 81pts
New York I.:
19-18-4 H 17-19-5 A ... 81pts
Now I can prety sure say we are and will be in the run for Stamkos.
And i made some nice app to show u just how 100% we get Stamkos if we tank the season:
Play a bit with it and share your thoughts. I tried to be objective and this is my little contribution to open those fans eyes who blindly belive that us beeing 30th is 100% stamkos on roster and that no matter how big collateral dmg. is its worth it.
I sure dont belive that and be asured even if we raise place or two it doesnt mean we loose Stamkos. And btw even if we do its supose to be deep draft and i ask u what about other draftees?

Wow u amaze me CBGB if anione i thought u will have to say more than bugging me for my spelling as if u dont know what im talking about.
What bothers u more i-I ? "anione thats started" maybe? or the fact that I point on people like u that seem to allways remind us that Kings wining some games is somehow bad for the team? btw did u check my lil application if anoine u should trie it, please do it.

Douchey qoute. Native english speakers may be bagged on for spelling, not those from the holy land of the blessed Kopitar. Try harder to not be a douche or just don't "contribute".
"It's great that they are winning, cause now the kids can experience that, but on the other side of the coin, you hope for them to lose so they can draft who they choose going 1st overall.
It kinda sucks. You want them to win, but in a way you don't want them to win. In a perfect world, they win, and Toronto, Tampa, Edmonton, and Chicago also continue to win. There's that, or DL obtains all those teams 1st round picks.
With the way Boyle has been developing, do you really need Stamkos? Isn't a 1-2 punch of Kopitar and Boyle good for the future. I am not comparing Boyle to Stamkos, I'm just saying. Do they come out with the 3rd overall pick and go defense with one of either Doughty, Schenn, or Bogasian? Would that be that bad? Would it be bad to have a future defense that consists of Johnson, Hickey, Schenn, and Harrold with Kopitar, Boyle and Lewis being the top 3 centers? I don't think it would.

I was thinking about the same thing Petey there are few good D-men to be drafted but saying that it would be better to take one over Stamkos is a blasphemy. I would like to get Stamkos over anione... But if we loose him there still is some good players around. And thats basicaly my whole point if we end up 30 its not 100% guarantee we win Stamkos what if we are 30 and loose the lottery?
And CBGB dont mind me ok, if u dont know what im tallking about than lets just leave it there ok.
Again, I was never in favor of the players actually losing on purpose. But, I remain opposed to DL making a bunch of trades to bring in guys just to help us get to 9th place. And, to a lesser extent, I am glad that Purcell is in the AHL and not w/ the big club. Boyle and Moulson are causing enough damage in the Stamkos sweepstakes as it is.
