What the heck, guys??

We're now only 2 points behind Tampa (though they've got a game in hand, thank God), 4 points behind Toronto and Florida, and 5 behind Chicago. Hell, we're now 12 points outta the playoffs, and if we make an 8 point run on the field in the next 30, we'll be drafting 8-10!

BEHIND EDMONTON !!!

Playing over .500 in the next few weeks isn't gonna do much for us, boys. I enjoy winning and all, but c'mon! You're not supposed to be as good as this.

What if this IS their reality?!

Honestly, they haven't been playing out of their minds by any means this month. They've played physical, defensively responsible hockey most every game over the entire month and that's what carried them through January.

More specifically, Stuart finally got healthy and found some consistency. Frolov stayed healthy enough to dress each night. Lubo stopped being a complete failure in his own end. And yes, okay, so maybe Blake is playing above his head right now but his play hasn't really carried this team. I'd like to think that this team finally playing with confidence from top to bottom is the bigger factor in the Kings' best month of the season.
