realistically, what would it take for us to nab the florida pick from nashville? the cliche cammy and a pick? i dont wanna be too much of an armchair gm, but i would love to see us deal cammy for defensive help, and a top pick.
in my head i think this would be a good draft day trade: to nash: cammy, dallas first, calg. 2nd. 3rd in 09 To LA: suter and florida's pick.
i remember a thread a few weeks back that had the realistic value of draft picks or something like that, but i wonder if this would be a fair trade?
i know it's prob unlikely to happen, but a man can dream.

realistically, i think that Cammalleri's trade value may not be as high as some people suggest. so my opinion is that it'd likely cost Cammalleri and at least a 3rd round pick to get them thinking about moving Suter, and you're looking at the Dallas first plus a prospect for another chance at the top-5.

Realistically, Nashville isn't going to trade that top 5 pick...not with the caliber player that they'd end up with. But if we're REALLY going to try to pluck Suter and the pick from them, we're going to have to offer something pretty sweet. Probably something like this:
From LA:
-Cammy
-Dallas' 1st
-LA's Second
-Tukonen/Lewis
From Nashville:
-Suter
-Their 1st in the top 5
If I'm the Nashville GM and I've got the chance to draft Schenn, Bogosian, Pieterangelo, or maybe even Doughty, I'm looking for something like that minimum before I even listen to any offers. As a Kings GM, I'd make that trade in a heartbeat, because you basically don't give up a roster spot that you can't fill easily and you upgrade your blueline by two young, promising d-men. Nashville, on the other hand, makes their offense even more productive, still has two first round picks, gains the first pick in the second round and a former first round pick who's still got the potential to pan out (more likely Lewis).
Again, I have no idea where this talk of them even considering dealing Suter has come from, especially since they seem to be doing just fine on offense and that Suter and Weber are their #1-2 for the next 5 years or so atleast. Once Ellis and Klein get a little more experience, Nashville (or wherever they may end up being) is going to be a constant contender.
Like I always say, If you're gonna dream DREAM BIG
R U outta your hole. Tuk and the first rounder is too much. Forget Cammy, the Kings aren't trading him unless its for the 3rd pick overall straight up. Why the hell would the Kings trade so much for a draft pick, who cares if it a 2nd or 3rd pick...
Boy the ducks really raped the oilers in that dustin penner trade.
Penner was not traded. Dumb ass Kevin Lowe signed Penner to an offer sheet
which the Ducks did not match. So as compensation the Ducks got a 1st, 2nd and
3rd round draft picks.

I guess you could say Penner raped himself...
but I mean... come on... did you see what he was wearing? He was totally asking for it.

It is really going to suck if the Ducks get Schenn and Toews falls to them in the 2nd Round. I will be pissed!!!
