In response to a Washington Post column about the Philadelphia Flyers fans that read "women and children could be security for Megadeth," lead singer Dave Mustaine sent a videotaped message of support wearing a jersey of the Flyers captain, Jason Smith.
Megadeth and the Philadelphia Flyers have joined up to give fans of both the team and the band a special playoff treat - a free downloadable iron-on so you can make your own Megadeth Security shirts. The Flyers continue their playoff run on Wednesday night against the Montreal Canadians.
I'd love to be security for Megadeth so when people were looking to beat the crap out of Dave Mustaine I'd just stand aside and say "he's right over there". Seriously, I met him on the Risk tour in 1999 and he was a total dick. The rest of the guys were cool though. Marty Friedman rules.
