The Tampa Bay Lightning have won the National Hockey League Draft Drawing tonight and retained the first overall drafting position for the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, June 20 and 21 at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa, Ontario.

"This is the first piece of good luck we have enjoyed all season," Lightning Executive Vice President & General Manager Jay Feaster said. "In a season in which the bad news and bad luck seemed to pile on, this is a ray of sunshine."
