General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Blackhawks have signed forward Nathan Davis out of the University of Miami of Ohio.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Davis, 21, stands at 6-1 and weighs in at 204 pounds. He was the Blackhawks 4th round pick (117th overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. He played the last four seasons for the University of Miami of Ohio’s RedHawks appearing in 138 games and notching 63 goals and 69 assists for 132 points and 105 penalty minutes.
Davis was limited to only 21 games during his Senior season (2007-08) due to injuries but still accumulated eight goals and nine assists for 17 points and seven penalty minutes while posting a plus/minus rating of +3.
