About This Page: This is a discussion on Hockey Players Forum within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. It is time to get rid of my good old CCM super tacks, and upgrade to a nicer skate.
I tried them on at the ice station in valencia, and
The $64,0000 question this begs is: what don't you like about what Bauer, CCM, and Graf have to offer in this price range that would cause you to turn to Easton or Mission?

I was never fond of the Bauer's, the regular width skates are too narrow, and the EE width skates are too wide.
I always have liked CCM, i just have not had the opportunity to try the newer models on, my shop doesnt carry them, and i just cant afford the gas to make a trip to hawk hockey or hockey giant
The bottom line is, that im 17 years old and only make $170 a week, and driving my 96 chevy half ton kinda kills my ability to drive down below to get some skates ( i live in palmdale, and buy my gear online, or at the Ice station)
I also really like the glass fiber feel of the easton's, and the missons feel like a lighter version of my tacks in addition to giving out a free stick with the purchase of a pair of their skates.
Would you have an alternative pair/brand you could point me to?
