I did when I first learned how to play ice. if you need ice time to screw around or to work on something, it is great. every now and then you get a scrimmage going, if there is enough people. this was a long time ago, however (2003?)
i've been going recently and its not crowded ( well, it is 6am ) so you get a chance to work on things.
I have heard that some scrimmages occur when more people are around. I've only practiced a few drills with others.
If you're in the area, its not a bad deal for ten bucks and they also don't kick you off the ice right at 7:30, they let you stay on past the scheduled time.

Get yourself a practice puck (heavier orange puck that you can get at the Culver rink), take one to stick time, and slap-shoot that thing over and over and over until you get real good at shooting it, then go back to the regular puck.
You'll be able to shoot that thing like a friggin' roller puck, guaronteed!

I have a day off and I plan on going Friday. Whats the head count? 6am is a little
early for me but if people show, I'll show up. I just don't want to be the only one
out there at 6am.
