Default Need new skates (inline) again...

So a few months ago i started playing some inline hockey out in West Covina, and my old Bauer H8's were too big for my feet and gave me crazy blisters... Also they were just really heavy and old.

So I did some research online about how to properly fit skates, went out and bought some CCM vector PF10's (last years model). I read i should err on the side of small, because the skates can always be punched out or lengthened.

So i got the length down pretty good, if not a little small - but i never had them stretched. They eventually started causing me problems in width, however. For a few weeks, it was ok if not a little bit tighter than i would have liked. I had them punched out in the forefoot twice. But still, nowadays, after 20 or so minutes of wearing/skating in them, the pain from the compression around my forefoot gets excruciating. When I take off the skate, I can't move my big toe for 5-10 minutes. I have strange shaped feet, and if i go with the wider size (E?), then its too wide on the rest of my foot, and i'll get hella blisters again.

So before i go get some new ones, I was looking for any input from some of you that may also have strange feet or had problems similar to mine, and what avenue you may have taken to correct it.

I think the skates are great - they're light as heck... I'm even considering getting the same skates but a bit wider. I just don't want to end up with something like this again. Any thoughts?

1 of my feet is wider then the other and ive always had problems with it. for roller i now use mission helium 1500 and they feel great i just make sure that the skates are to size with my wider foot obviously. for ice i somehow ended up getting some missions that were a size and a half larger than my roller ones, theres some extra room but suprisingly they arnt too big for either foot, so i dont really know what to say. id say just find a pair that is most comfortable with whatevert foot always gives you the problems

Ive played the last two seasons on a pair of Mission he9500's. After baking them they felt great and they are very light.

I tried on all FIVE brands of inline skates, and wasn't satisfied with any of them. I've resorted to beating the crap out of my current skates until they fit better. Extra bakes, punches, stretches, etc.

There's nothing that comes close to the (overall) fit and lightness of the PF10's. If these dont work i'm just gonna order some 8.5E's to replace my 8D's.

Re skates, I just got a 2nd pair of Nike/Bauer Mega 40/70 and they're great for a very low price (only $80 HG - online).

I also used to get some crazy blisters right above my foot in the same pattern as the tongue vent holes.

If that's the blister problem you are having, just roll up some scrap fabric and fill those vent holes. My blister problem went away very quickly.

i get blisters on the sides of my heel. seems no matter what boot i wear, when i push-off and my foot curls, that heel just pops off the bottom of the boot... there must be something unusual or wrong with my skating stride, because i cant really see any other way for it to work, my foots bending shape - that heel has to go somewhere, and the boot isn't gonna bend.

I got to play finally on my newly beat-up skates... They're much better. I actually played 2 games in a row, then another game a few hours later, and my feet weren't killing me!
