I broke my inline skates after only having them for a little over a year. If you want something that will have some durability then I would recommend not going with Mission when skate shopping. I contacted Mission and since they are over a year old the warranty has expired.
When Mission first came out I was pretty weary of em but over the years they've seemed to have gotten better. I'd never know though cause I've never laced a pair up. I have a pair 1997 Bauer H7's and I love em. The only skates I've worn since 1997 and if I were to get new skates I'd go the Bauer (Bauer/Nike to be specific I guess) route for sure.

my missions felt really flimsy after a year of use. i didn't think it was a defect, just a crappy skate. i've stayed away from them and have been happier with other skates now. but i know some who love theirs and haven't had any issues with it.
Ive been rockin Bauer 1000's since '96. Same pair, even.
Mission = teh junks.

I stick to CCMs. However, I don't buy any type of roller hockey skate because they are junk. I had a pair of 652 Instapumps for at least 10 years before I picked up a pair of Vectors last week.
And while on the topic of skates.. has anyone noticed how stiff skates are nowadays? I can hardly lace mine up. However, I thought they were gonna hurt while I break them in, but they did not hurt at all. I think I am in love.

When mission first came out I thought they were junk. At that time I was looking for skates I bought some CCM tacks for roller and some Graf's for ice. Both are great skates. It seems to me mission has improved a bit but I still wouldn't get them.
pssst...there is a reason why they are so inexpensive...
Ding ding.
But in all honesty, i've worn my missions for a long while and they're great, but i'm a small guy. Usually heavier guys I know break missions within a year of owning them.

what's heavy? i'm pretty sure i was lighter than most of the guys in my leagues at a whopping 160 pounds ;P
As in comedian/actor Dennis?
Or "I'm leery about trusting the reliability of Mission skates"?
