So here is a couple of dates I've been looking at. I haven't talked to anyone at Lakewood yet but I wanted to throw these dates out and see what you guys thought.
The first date is Saturday January 12. The kings play that afternoon at 1 against Dallas. The second date is Saturday, January 26. There is no Kings game scheduled and it's also the weekend before the Superbowl so no football games either. These are the two dates I see as possibilities. If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know. If you guys are ok with one of these dates then say which date you prefer and I'll schedule the most popular date.
Either Saturday is good for me. Usually the evening would be better, but if you can get a 5:00 time that would be killer so my son could watch since he has a 7:30-8:00 bedtime
Sorry I haven't been following up lately but it's been a busy holiday season. Now that it's all over I'm focusing on getting this set up. I just wanted to give an update of what is going on so far.
I went by the rink Wednesday to talk to someone about setting up the rink time but the lady I need to talk to wasn't there. They tried to talk me into just showing up for regular pick up hours but I told them we prefered our own rink time. So I guess that is an option. I got the number for the person I need to talk to and I called this morning and left a message but I never heard back. I'm going to try again in the morning and see if I can reach her or if she will call me back.
I'm pushing for Saturday, January 26, but according to their web site their may be no slots available that day. So I'm going to try for the following saturday, Feb. 2 if I can get that. As soon as I have the slot locked up I will let everyone know so we can get this game going.
So that is all I have for now, but I will keep everyone updated on any progress.
I'm sorry guys. I'm going to be missing this one no matter the day. I'm taking 17 units and working full-time.
I barely have time to wipe my arse!

As for an update, I've been playing phone tag with the lady at Glacial Gardens but it's looking like the date is going to be Saturday, Feb. 2 at around 7pm on the middle rink. As soon as I have it finalized and locked up I will update and start a sign up and payment thread. The kings are on the road that day and play at 4pm, maybe we could have a viewing party somewher and then play hockey. Nothing quite like drinking and eating pizza before getting on the ice. On second thought maybe not such a good idea. Either way, lock that date in, 90% done and ready to go.
The game is set up and I've started a new thread for official sign ups. Post in that thread to sign up and get all of the details. Let's get this game going.
