I will be attending the Early morning Ice Hockey pick up at KHS Ice Arena in Anaheim tommarow morning at 6:30 AM. The chance of it being dead is pretty high. But if 10 of us show up then we have at least a game. If no one shows up! I get a good lonely work out time. If People wana come out and work on there skills that would be great. I can add some insight on how to improve ones game a little. I no perfect coach or anything but I am willing to help if its dead or during play. Price is $15.
Pretty good facility, skated there years ago. Funny now that it's called KHS. When I wnet to Katella High School, I would have loved to have the ice rink there. Only knew 5 of us that knew how to play hockey then.

I normally play at AnaheimICE on Saturday morning but thats canceled for tommarow so I try to keep my routine complete.
I will still be at KHS tomarrow morning.
Good question, my buddy just called & said they are usually good. Alot of my buddies are going to be there, so no doubt it's going to be fun. I've never been to the KHS one on Friday nights, so i'm hoping it will be. At AnaheimIce on friday night's is a joke. It's so hard to get a spot because most of the players are reserved.
Ya I sometimes too go to the pick-up at AnaheimICe on Saturday mornings, but since i'm doing summer session for college, I need my sleep on the weekends.

hey mud, how are the saturday mornings at KHS? i did the anaheim ice ones for a while and dudes were dicks cause i wasnt as good as they were. id love to start doing saturday mornings regularly on saturdays that i dont have games.

Best games I ever played were ones where I could do a sticktime in the morning way before the game later that night. I understand why the NHL teams have "morning skates". Maybe a morning pickup game is a little too much "wear and tear" as compared to sticktime, but you should try it once before dismissing it.

i did a 6:30 am pickup and a 9pm game that night once. really bad idea. my legs felt like concrete blocks during the game
I'm wondering if they actually hold those games, as KHS used to be Glacial Garden, and GG is notorious for regularly canceling pickup games that sit on the same timeslot week-in, week-out for years. It's like they enjoy torturing hockey players (dangling a carrot in front of them and yanking it away at the last minute). I'm just wondering if KHS has reformed themselves since breaking away from GG.
I still don't get why everyone is jonesing for 6am on Saturday when there are (supposedly) 7:30pm weeknight games ....
Well, I'm not "jonesing". Week nights at 7:30 pm is out
of the question for me (due to work) especially in
Anaheim. So if I can get my ass out of bed, then 6:30am
Saturday works for me.
