My split in half down the middle, originally just the bottom, but the split has spread all the way up the blade up to where it connects to the the shaft of the stick.
I used my friends( JuniorDog and Zero46 ) sticks with Recchi(CCM or Bauer, I don't remember) and Kovalchuk/Robitaille(Warrior) blades and was really happy, so I'm going with those and I know they weren't the same material as the Hybrid blades.
So yeah, Hybrid Blades = ...splitty.

I am just getting back into the game, and have been trying a bunch of different wood blades on my Z-bubble shafts. While I enjoy the feel of wood blades, I decided to finally try a S15 blade in a S15 shaft.
Hopefully I can break it out next Sunday night, I just need one of those extension thingamabobs to adjust for my height.
I'll be the voice of dissent here. I use those quite often and have not had any problems. They eventually break apart along the bottom, but that's after I get plenty of use. I take a good number of slapshots as well (I play defense, primarily).

My friends and I play 1-2 times a week for about 2-3 hours and I got about 7 or 8 sessions out of it.
I assume you're playing on the ice, right? You might consider the lie of your blade and length of stick if the blades are going too fast, though. Are you just lining up pucks and taking shots for 2 hours straight? If not, then I can't see these blades going that quickly.
I play between 3-5 times a week (seriously, though less during the summer). I know the blades tend to last me about a month (I always mean to try to figure out just how often I replace them, but I keep forgetting to). The composite blades last me a bit longer.
lak2881 - the blades themselves shouldn't flex. But you'll definitely get a different feel for the puck with those blades (hybrid or wood) compared to the composite stuff. Definitely consider the blade pattern, though.

S15 shaft, Sakic Hybrid blade on smooth concrete, about 80% wrist shots, 20% slap. We just shoot around, nothing too serious or intense.
I'm switching to a Recchi or Robitaille blade though when I get a chance( Didn't like the open face of the Sakic pattern ).
Concrete will wear down your stick blade pretty quick. Even smooth concrete.
Technique could be another factor, of course. But if your shots are pretty spot-on accurate, it seems that concrete and blade pattern are the real culprits. Good luck with the Robitaille and Recchi blades! Happy hockey!
Yeah I was going to say, this has to be on concrete. I've had EVERY blade that I've touched on concrete split like that. That's just the price to play outside. Play on sport court or ice and your blades should last until they crack/break.
Also, on putting blades on shafts, if I were to swap between two blades to try and see which I liked more, would I have to reapply more adhesive in order to re-attach the blade? IE: Attach blade1, try it, take out blade1, insert blade2, try it, decide I like blade1 more, would I need to apply more adhesive to blade1?
I have a heat gun and swap blades all the time. Often you won't need to get any extra glue; there will be leftover residue on both the blade and the inside of the shaft. It doesn't hurt, though, to get a glue stick. They're $1.50 or so, so really inconsequential.

I wound up getting a RBK 1K blade( mid curve ), it was the closest thing Hockey Monkey had to a recchi or robitaille. Already like it more than I did the Sakic cuve
