Okay so I had to order a jersey for the new team I am on at Ice Chalet. I order it from Hockey Giant 2 weeks ago, and it is still not here. Fine, be honest and say we did not get the order, we don't have the size, etc, but do not lead me on a wild goose chase and give me the runaround. It has been 2 weeks, no jersey, and the manager will not make a call back.
I have now officially decided that I will drive the extra 10 minutes to Hawk Hockey and deal with their knowledgeable staff...plus they have better equipment...too bad it is a trek from San Pedro
HockeyGiant does suck. They screwed up one of my orders once also.
I now order all my stuff from IceWarehouse. They're located in NorCal and I get my orders in 2 days with ground shipping! It rocks. www.icewarehouse.com. They're inline website rules too www.inlinewarehouse.com
What bugs me about HockeyGiant is that they have a massive store but never anything in stock. I was in a pinch and had to buy my 5 year old a helmet right away. Now my son has a big head for a kid. What can I say? Both his mother and I have big noggins. Anyway, due to their lack of stock they only choice I had was a Nike Bauer 8500 helmet. The only choice I had was the most expensive helmet in the NikeBauer lineup? That plus the visor/cage combo mask means that my kid is out there with about $165 strapped to his head. Oh well, at least it looks really cool.
never had any problems and they always have what i needs, besides i got mission helium 10,000's for 200 online when they were listed at 300 on clearance everywhere else (including in store hahah) before they figured out and changed the price
I'm pretty surprised that so many people have had problems with them, I've never had any trouble. Also try Hawk Hockey or discounthockey.com which is encore sports in Woodland Hills I believe.
Hawk Hockey I will swear by and I had never had a problem with Hockey Giant until now, and would go there for a lot of stuff. This however does piss me off. My team all ordered their jerseys on Monday or Tuesday (4/23 and 4/24) and they had all received theirs before I got mine.
Also, the last time I was there, they really had nothing my size in stock and that does get annoying. Hawk Hockey has offered to ship at a reduced cost or no cost when they do not have the stuff in a certain size
yeah... I haven't had any problem with hockeygiant. Last time I was there my brother was looking at some TOUR blue max's .... which were $150.... and asked the Mgr for his size... they didn't have it, but gave my bro the Beamers (more expensive) for the same price...
customer service there has always been good for me.
I beg to differ with Hockey Giant and their customer service.
I ordered online a Bauer helmet and a CCM hat, just cuz they both were on sale.
got the helmet first, but still waiting on the hat. knowing that they sometimes ship the orders separately, I checked the shipping order and it did appear that both items would go together. I talked to the customer rep and he (Dave?) turned out to be one arrogant ******* for one to be dealing with customers.
"well, what do you want us to do about it?" is one ****ed up remark to make to a customer, me thinks.
anyway, I was told that the hat would be shipped on April 30, so we'll see...

The only problem that I've had is that I ordered team jerseys from the store in Anaheim. I called to find out the status and never got a call back. I finally received them and they "forgot" to include one. I spoke with the manager (Steve) and he made sure that I got it the next day.
I know that the times that I've gone down there it has been very hit and miss as far as equipment selection. Usually...miss!
Okay I found out what was wrong...the guy who was printing the jersey misspelled my name and then pressed it misspelled. Rather than admit that they made a mistake and apologize, they said we will say it was a stock delay

well i suppose its all in the tone of how he said it, but i occasionally have to do customer service on the phone at my work and if i ask that its more of a what can we do to make this situation ok for you... once again i guess its all in the delivery

Had no problems with a few online orders I did through them (mostly generic jerseys and the like).
I did have problems when I needed to have the chassis on both my skates replaced. The part needed to be transferred from Minnesota (there's that stock issue again, these were generic large Mission chassis). I asked if I could pay extra to have the shipping out here expedited, which they said no to (no big, thought I would inquire though). I paid them to replace the chassis and replace the wheels on both skates. They didn't replace the wheels (which I just let slide) and the chassis popped multiple rivets the first time I skated on them. I didn't pursue it further, it had already taken me 3 weeks to get my skates back. I took them to the local rink and got the rivets redone free of charge.
Not horrid, but not worth spending my money at either. I'll stick with hockeymonkey.
