About This Page: This is a discussion on Computers/Tech/Photo within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. DTS and Sony have announced that the next firmware upgrade for the PS3 (set for April 15) will allow for internal decoding of DTS-HD MA codecs!
PS3 Gets DTS-HD Master
I thought Begins was on slate for July for several weeks now. (And I mean beyond rumor status.)
I still find it lame that WB was idle on The Matrix on BD, and it won't hit until 4th quarter. At least we'll get something the HD DVD crowd didn't get: Animatrix in 1080p.

Great news! What's the cheapest receiver that supports this format?
I decided to buy any CG heavy movie in BR only, and the rest I'm burning and putting it on my Apple TV. I'll continue to do so until the price of BR movies begin to drop.

You're right. I should have been more specific. Amazon put it on pre-order this week. BTW, I love that they're including the prologue for The Dark Knight.
Edit: As far as the other "catch-up" titles for Warner Bros. go, V for Vendetta is coming in May and no word yet on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, though I don't care about that one. I pre-ordered VFV already.

Yes, sir. It's a nice set-up for the new flick.
I'm looking forward to the Dirty Harry set, as well.
(From Fox) And the Firefly BR.
(Lionsgate) And Mad Men with one of the best BR covers yet. (I know it's a new release, but it is one of the best shows on TV these days.)

for a PS3? If so, you only need a receiver capable of supporting Multi-Channel PCM, since the PS3 will be doing the heavy lifting.
However, if you are looking for a inexpensive receiver for DTS-HA MA and Dolby TrueHD decoding, I think the Onkyo 605 may still be the less expensive. The new Yamaha RX-v663 will also decode. I think they are in the $500 (MSRP) range, and can be found for under $400.
I haven't heard any of them, since I am out of the receiver market for a while.
