So it says fully unlocked. Does that mean it will run on Verizon?
NO it is unlocked GSM it will run on any GSM network, in the US that means Rogers, ATT or T Mobile.
Verizon is CDMA as is Sprint. IN a few year VZW may switch over.

Damn! I love Verizon because the coverage in my area is second to none but this whole CDMA thing has us missing out on a whole bunch of awesome phones.

Tell me about it... VZW in general has some crappy ass phones. The only ones worth picking up are well over 200 bucks...

I read about this phone earlier and fell in love with it. It was developed with the help of HTC, so that explains why it's beautifully designed. Who knows, a 3G iPhone SHOULD be out by that time. It might be a tough one for me.

Same here. All I know is that despite Verizon's great service, 80% is having a sweet ass phone to play with and they have definitely fallen short in that department.

I don't think we'll see the 3G Iphone in 2008. ATT and Microsoft are still sitting on a ton of inventory that they know they won't move when the new models comes out. Not to mention they haven't even submitted it to FCC for approval

I hear it takes 4-6 months for the FCC to approve any phone, so I guess we'll add another 6 months to whatever time apple's decided they have profited enough from their 1st gen. So realistically the summer of 2009?

Jobs' magic number was 10 million phones sold globally by 2008. There is NO way his arrogance would let Apple introduce the 3G iPhone before this number is hit. He announced 4 million at MacWorld a few weeks ago, and with a rumored $100 drop for the iPhone/iPod touch in the coming months, Apple should feasibly hit it with the introduction of the SDK this month. I'm assuming that the SDK becomes an instant hit to attract more buyers.
Regardless, the US and especially Europe need a 3G phone. Sales in Europe are poor due to its absence.
Keep a lookout for their conferences in June and September.
Regardless, this SE phone is my next phone if a 3G iPhone doesn't come out this year. The only thing that's keeps me from selling my iPhone is its browser. Which browser is included, SBU?
