Default Oppo Update

Update-the ISO firmware update didnt correct the players problem playing regular CDs. I sent an email back to OPPO support and within 4 hours they sent me a prepaid Fed Ex Label with all of the shipping information and RMA number already handy. I simply printed it out and put it on the box and dropped it off a FedEx/Kinkos. I think the player is over 2 years old and they didnt ask about a receipt or a warrenty at all.

Today I got an email that said they received the unit, and they would repair it as well as clean it as well as upload the latest firmware and if they couldnt fix it-theyd send me the latest model of Oppo Player and that they would keep me updated via email and almost all repairs are done in 2 days.

Pretty good customer service!

Crap. Sorry Hip - you're probably out of luck. That is some incredible customer service. Look for them to enter Chapter 11 right away.

LOL. Amazingly enough my player got sent back on friday and works fine! Pretty quick turnaround time from the time I sent it out and the time it came back. Had the DVD player been something I bought at Circuit City or Best Buy I would have either just conceded it didnt play CDs and roll with it or maybe just have given it away.
