About This Page: This is a discussion on Computers/Tech/Photo within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. So... I've tried sticking a fork in it to pry it open but it's not working. Any other ideas???
PLease help!!!
First stop sticking forks in it. Usually there is a small hole next to the disc drive, find that hole and take a paperclip and stick it in the hole, that should pop open the disc drive. If you cant find that hole I'm out of ideas.
Uhh... Straighten out a paperclip, and put it into the manual eject hole to release the tray?

While poking around in the eject hole, look out for some kind of resistance. When you've got the right spot, push carefully but firmly. The tray should pop out a bit, so that you can open it with your fingers. Normally, this HAS to work, even with the power off.
If it definitely doesn't work, try to pull down the cover and then try to get the tray out.

I met some resistance and I could hear it trying to open up. But it sounds like there's something jammed in there.

thanks for all the help guys
I would say then take the drive out of the computer, and gently rap it on a table or something similar to see if you can dislodge what is jamming the drive, then try the paper clip trick again.
Better get that Gay porn DVD out of your dad's computer before he comes home!
Maybe he's trying to get that gay porn DVD back into his father's computer?
