Nasti's comment about Paramount putting halt of some sort on a big title, makes me think it's Sweeney Todd, which by the way, is the last title that Paramount actually has a release date for. (Though I think their pause maybe more Oscar related. Then again, I'm sure the DVD would've been postponed as well, since they're day-off releases.)
The nipples on my Batsuit are at attention. (By the way, why did the chicks NOT have hard nipples on their suits in that POS?!?)
Oh, and my sphincter is riddled with delight.
Oh, heaven.

I just got an email about 20 minutes ago and it's just another sign in the death of HD-DVD. Hundreds of HD-DVDs are on sale at Amazon.com. After visiting the site I found out that ALL of the HD-DVDs are at least 30% off.
This on the heels of the Xbox HD-DVD price drop is too much. This format war is as good as over.

I also got an Amazon email today with a buy 2 BR's, get one free.
Well...just about any media on Amazon is 30% off whether you are talking about music, dvd, bluray, etc. At least for a little while it is.
I just think that a 50% off of well over a hundred titles is pretty significant. Particularily when it happens shortly after Microsoft drops the price of the HD-DVD add-on to the 360 and news about Walmart and Netflix abandoning HD-DVD altogether.
I always felt that BluRay would win for 2 simple reasons. First, reason is Microsoft did not make the 360 and HD-DVD player like Sony did with the PS3. Secondly, the BluRay disc came out with a higher capacity when the two technologies were first release which to me makes it a more logical successor in the computer world because it allows people to store the most data on the disc.
So when i get back to town, I will check out the BM stores to wee what HDDVD BOGOs are going on.
oh yeah, and Netflix supposedly went BD Exclusive, and Best Buy decided to move BD to the recommended High Definition player, and kick HDDVD to the shelves. No more end caps for HDDVD.
Any recommendations on BD players? Looked around on amazon and these are in the range I'd like to pay. Any suggestions on these or others is appreciated.

It's a possibility. I don't see myself using it much for gaming if at all. I haven't played games on a console since the original PS.
like DRD said...just buy a PS3. It's less than $100 more for the entry model (go for the $499) version if you can. You not only get the gaming option but there are a lot of other things that it does that more than make it worth the money. Not only that...the build quality on those things is pretty remarkable.
