Anyone had any issues? I'm hearing in other places that it sometimes slows the computer way down. Most people seem to think it runs fine, just a few having process speed issues.

The e-mail scanner is a little tricky. If you have hotmail or yahoo mail it's a little confusing on how to set it up. I did a custom install and didn't bother with that add on.

I sent an e-mail to myself last night (not using hotmail or yahoo) and got it back with the little AVG note at the bottom saying it was checked.
If you're already also using AVG's anti-spyware, you really won't notice any sort of performance hit. AVG 8 includes the anti-spyware with it, unlike the previous versions.
ok, then what's up with the "no more automatic updates" or some **** like that?
It's what they do when they bring out a new version. They no longer provide virus definitions to the old version. They also hope to confuse the upgrader enough that they pay for the new version instead of the user finding the free version.
so I started by uninstalling 7.5, the installing 8.01. but it says I still have some a/v running and that it needs to be uninstalled first before continuing the 8.01 install.
I know that I could just forget about the warning and finish up with 8.01. I'd like more advice on what to do at this point. thanks.
