Guitar Hero III is out today

I got the Wii version for my Birthday.

It's way more fun than I expected! I never had any of the older ones, and I only played them a few times at friends houses.

My only complaint would be that the sound is pretty crappy. There is no surround sound to speak of and I'm not sure, but I think all the sound is coming out mono from the center speaker - and when you hit star power it kicks in some reverb that makes everything sound all muddy. I know my Wii does surround on my receiver because other games work fine - I thought it was just that my receiver is old but then today I saw on Engadget that there is an issue with the sound on Wii's with GHIII.

I play guitar (sorta) and it is two different birds. Guitar Hero is more rhythm than guitar. Drummers should do really well with it.

I am still waiting for the wah pedal add-on. Or any stompbox. That would freakin RULE!

They'll need to update GHIII on Wii somehow. Mono-only sound should be good for a few firings IMHO.
