Default FTP Connectivity Issue

I'm having a problem connecting to some webhost servers via FTP. I'd like to see if some of you have ideas or can help test a specific host server.

I'll start by saying my internet connection is fine. My computer is fine. My login info is fine. I haven't changed anything but the issue is new.

I also know it's not a firewall or computer issue as I can connect to other FTP accounts on other host servers okay.

According to the webhost, they can connect fine. And in some cases I can connect too, but only after a long delay.

I suspect this might be an ISP issue (port or host blocking?).

PM me if you want test FTP info to help me test.

try setting your ftp protocol to passive... depends on the server, but sometimes makes all the difference in the world

Some servers, (GoDaddy I'm looking at you) only allow one connection at a time. So for rexample if you ftp in with Expolorer, then decide you really meant to connect with cuteftp, then you have to wait like 10 or 15 minutes before it times out and you can connect with that app.

It's god damned annoying.
