So after a couple of years of procrastination I have finally decided to give Firefox a tryout. I have installed it and so far so good. I have installed the following add-ons; foxytunes, download status, redshift V2 skin, Adblock plus, LinkedIn companion, and cooliris.
What other add-ons should I get?

i run an add-on called "NoScript", which blocks all javascript/flash that i don't authorize. its a minor inconvenience but you'll be surprised how much behind-the-scenes javascript is on pages from ad/tracking companies.
if a page doesn't load right and its a site i trust, i just add the site to the trusted list and i never have to worry about it again.
The best add-on for me is Google browser sync. Google Browser Sync for Firefox is an extension that continuously synchronizes your browser settings – including bookmarks, history, persistent cookies, and saved passwords – across your computers. It also allows you to restore open tabs and windows across different machines and browser sessions.
Ad Block Plus
Fasterfox - Performance and network tweaks for Firefox.
Yahoo Mail Notifier - Advises you when you have new mail in your Yahoo mailbox.
I also like all-in-one gestures, you can click "back" by right clicking and moving the mouse left, and up opens a new page, right click and right goes forward. It's very handy when I'm using my laptop.

DTA is a good download manager.
Gpace turns your gmail account into online storage with transfers similar to FTP.
Imageshack makes a nice add-on bar for easy image uploads.
Tab Mix Plus - Is handy because it can define custom tab behavour, for instance, a new tab can be set to open blank page, home page, current page, duplicate page, or any given address.
Viamatic foXpose - Will array display all your tabs at once to find the one you are looking for
FxIF - A EXIF viewer (if you are a photo geek) Lets you right click on a photo, and if there is any EXIF data attached it will show it to you.

WOW so many options. I feel like a POWER SURFER now.
Loaded so far:
foxytunes - seems cool
download status bar - Not sure about his one yet
redshift V2 skin - Skins are always cool
Adblock plus w/filterset G - Really like this
LinkedIn companion - Have not used it yet but I liked on IE
cooliris - Really like this one
Forecast Fox - nifty but not essential
NoScript - Like this one
Unplug - I hope there is a better option
On my to-do list: IE Tab - even though I understand that this may slow the browser?
map+
Tab Mix Plus - seem very handy
Still to be investigated:
Google browser sync - don't know if I need this yet
All-in-one gestures - sounds like I would get mad because I will make a lot of mistakes
DTA
Gpace
Need to find: Parental controls, because i just can't trust myself. Actually, I would like to put FireFox on my kids computer but would like to have some perental control. Not that I don't trust them. it's just that I would like to prevent certain sites being pushed to him.
Note: Abe Vigoda Status Bar - That dog don't hunt anymore!
Thanks for all of the suggestions and keep'em coming; this is fun. I love gadgets.
