Directv Vod

I know I saw a thread on this before, can't find it now...

Just got my Hd-DVR box from Directv and I am in the process of hooking it up to my computer so I can access the new VOD features...does anyone have any info on this? The available info on their site is slim at best.

plug the ethernet cable in, go to the menu and get to the system test page.
there is a section for LAN, it should give you an IP.

it's as simple as that.
Is there a specific question?

Do you have the service? I have seen VOD on cable systems, Is it comparable? I know it's beta testing, at least that is my understanding, is it a complete system or do they just have minor options running????

just added my new router and got my ethernet connection to directv...yeah it was pretty simple, thanks again. I was hoping they would have HowardTv...hopefully coming soon. Room for improvement...but for a startup deal, not too bad.

hey...for the past 2 days i have received a 'Channel not available' message when trying to access onDemand...just me or have they shut it down?????
