I want an LG Voyager but I'm not eligible for an upgrade, plus I'd love to pay less than $200
I was just
It worked out fine. The company I work for buys phones for the field employees that are used. The only problem I have ever heard of is that sometimes the batteries aren't all that great (don't hold a charge like they are supposed to).
I bought an AT&T LG CU500 phone on eBay last year and paid a little over $100 for it. The phone is great w/original LG battery. However, it took 13 days from the day I paid for it until I actually received it. The seller supposedly sent it promptly via USPS Priority mail but...
BIG difference between buying a Iden(Nextel) phone, GSM(ATT) and CDMA(Verizon phone. With Iden ot GSM even if the phone is reported stolen it can used by simply switching your active SIM into the phone, stolen or not it will work. with CDMA(VZW) Once its reported lost/stolen, you're DONE. Make sure you get them to send you the MEID/ESN and call Verizon and make sure the ESN/MEID is clear, If they won't give it to you, it is stolen. Also make sure you get a DATED BILL OF SALE just in case they then do an insurance claim after they ship it to you or report it stoeln.
If you eligible for an upgrade you should be able to get the Voyager for 150 or even 100 after rebates using you loyalty discounts. Call Customer care and ask what you upgrade price is. You also have no warranty or 30 days exchange policy from Ebay. take a look at the Samsung, Glide, its a bad ass phone and smaller

good advice, thank you.
I'm not eligible for an upgrade for almost a year, so I'm just looking for an alternative to waiting.

I have the LG Voyager right now and I paid the full price of $500 for Christmas. It has some internal issues but overall it is a great phone and has an abundance of capabilities. The reason I got was because of the touchscreen but they have a new phone from Verizon that's touchscreen but I forgot the name; you should check it out.
Just be careful when you buy phones on ebay because my dumbass WON a LG Voyager (dummy) phone. It was very misleading because I thought it was the real phone but it wasn't. A dummy phone is the phones that they have on display. The description of the phone on ebay said it was brand new, ready out of the box, etc. I had to report to ebay and thank God I didn't have to pay the $200 for the phone. If I were you, I would just get it at a Verizon store to be safe because I learned my lesson the hard way.
I've got a Voyager.... GREAT phone... no problems with it... whatsoever. I also use every little thing on it too... like internet, mobile TV, music, games, mobile email....
I'm even on LGK on my phone.... its great!
Um... now.... onto the ebay thing,
I bought an enV off of ebay a year and a half ago, because my previous phone (the original LG V) broke. I didn't have any problems with it... just make sure that you're getting a clean ESN, or Verizon wont activate it for your account.
