What I mean is.....I was just flipping through the channels on TV and Good Will Hunting was on. So I kept it there for a little while because (whether you agree or not) the writing in that script is exceptional. But then it got to that scene when Robin Williams says to Matt Damon, "It's not your fault. It's not your fault." And Damon proceeds to bawl in a heart-touching embrace.....Yeah, anyway, so I had to change the channel, because that scene, for me, wrecks a movie that's near pitch perfect.
So can you think of any movies where a scene or scenes seem to wreck it for the rest of the movie?
Another example: I love the movie Heat. It's one of my favorites. But I hate the ending when Pacino and DeNiro are clasping hands in a sentimental ending of respect and a battle well fought....yeah, right. Didn't buy it.

I bet you that scene was key to their script's nomination, and eventual winning, of an Academy Award. Nice trade off.
In saying that, it's a moment that my friends and I always goof on.

The whole Frodo sending Sam home disaster in ROTK.
or when Sam gave Frodo that oh so gay look at one of the ends of that movie. And what's with that gay ****ing look, I thought Sam was going to saunter over Frodo and suck his ****ing cock. Now that would have been an Academy Award worthy ending. And then after the Frodo and Sam suckfest, just before the credits roll, Sam straight up ****ing bricks in Frodo's mouth.

I'm not very clear on your point....can you be more specific?
I'd have to say that scene in 'Showgirls' where Elizabeth Berkley started talking and ...wouldn't shut up after that....
But seriously, the scene that most ruined it for me was the final scene of the Matrix (AWESOME MOVIE!!!) where Neo friggin' flies! FLIES?! Really??
Not necessarily a movie wrecker, but I always have to fast forward through the baby crawling on the ceiling scene in "Trainspotters" That **** freaks me out and is completely unnecessary.

"Not The Rings, Randal...say what you will about Jesus, but leave The Rings out of this."
I used to never watch it just because of that reason alone!
Ok, how am I supposed to go out and violate peoples' rights and shoot unarmed people after watching this? I'm gonna give out hugs to everyone I see today.......
