Watchmen Photos!!!!!!!!!!

I was in the audience for the Watchmen panel on Friday morning...and besides the wonderful rapport the cast had...I got to see the expanded footage...TWICE...and the inkblots on Rorschach's mask constantly re-arranging...the surface of Mars, Dr Manhattan's transformation...I had tears in my eyes. I told KQ that the focus on the gears of the watch showed what a wonderful attention to detail Zach Snyder has brought to this flick. Look, the theatrical release is going to be as good as it can be. But the DVD, with the incorpoprated 'Tales of the Black Freighter' and all of the **** Z.S. is going to have to trim...is going to be as good as this movie needs to be.

this flick is going to change the landscape of moviemaking and superhero movies...Hell, even Kevin Smith admitted he had tears in his eyes watching the footage

Does that mean the Tales of the Black Freighter won't be in the theatrical version? I was under the impression it was going to be animated.

from what I have read...it is coming out as a straight to dvd release the week before WATCHMEN hits. Yes, it is animated and Gerard Butler is voicing the sailor. Look, I was at c.c. and DC direct has already set up some high-end figurines...so, the commitment is there...This is seriously going to be the turning point in comic book movies...

oh, and Zach Snyder also basically said he was going to incorporate all that he cannot squeeze into the theatrical release into the DVD. Look, if Wb/DC is going by the geeklove that this flick received at c.c. they would be fools to go against his word...

best moment of the con...FrankgoddamnedMiller tell Z.S. he can do the Dark Knight whenever he feels like it...Look the Spirit, don't look good...but F.M. deserves a mulligan for changing comics as we know them.

Just bought the graphic novel from Amazon. Never ever bought one of this type of media before. Not even as a kid. Not that I didn't like comics or fantastical superheroes.

Look, if you want the true experience...read a chapter and then...wait a month...oh the sweet anticipation. That's my only gripe w/collections. I remember being a kid and all of the excitement that hit every four weeks or so as the new issue of something hit the stands. And you had that OOOOFa moment at the end of every issue where you knew you had to wait a month for your fix. And that whole month...you savored that comic and read it 10 times...I stopped reading comics when that buzz stopped hitting me. Sorry to geek out there everyone...
P.S. Read all of the supplemental material at the end of the chapters...such great stuff. I envy anyone who hasn't read it yet...

SDCC08: BILLY CRUDUP & MATTHEW GOODE INTERVIEW (WATCHMEN)

SWEET TAPDANCING CHRIST ON THE CROSS...
Look...these pics are damn near complete recreations of panels from the comics...and...WE HAVE OUR FIRST BUBASTIS SIGHTING...I have to say...I was not sold on Mr.Goode as Ozmandyias...but he was so fun, as was Billy Crudup, at the panel, that i have nothing but faith.

This is the real deal...and I will continue to sport a woody in honor of Zack's wonderful vision of the greatest comic...umm...EVER.
