About This Page: This is a discussion on Media, Movies and Music within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. Just saw them last night and they were GREAT. Not my first time seeing them but it was my first time seeing them with Alex Skolnick back in the group.

yeah I saw Testament a ****load of times back in the day. Hell I saw Voivod and Nuclear Assault open for them among others back in the day with Dave Mustain MCing. Had quite the few drinks with Mr. Mustane that night as well!

Same here
Testament seemed to always open for other bands I was seeing. Never my favorite band, never my least favorite. They are like the Steve Miller band of metal. I wouldn't turn them off if they are on the radio but I also wouldn't run over a family of Pandas to hear them

I met Mustaine 10 years ago and his reputation is pretty dead on, he's an a$$h0le.
One of my favorite all time thrash bands.
They kinda lost me when they started getting too melodic, but I love the first two albums.

I was at that gig...I road from Santa Barbara in the back of a pick up truck drunk and happy as a pig in ****.
I went to the sold out Testament gig at the Key Club in Hollywood last night... great show. They played some old stuff like Apocolyptic City which was cool.
They have also secured the opening slot on the summer Judas Priest/Heaven & Hell/Motorhead package tour, with an area stop coming to Hyundai Pavilion on August 30.
Can't wait to hear the new one coming out at the end of this month. It sounds like a pretty decent return to the 1987-1990 years. The Ritual is where they lost me, and I absolutely cannot get into Low or Demonic. The Gathering was pretty good, though.
I see where KJ is coming from, regarding his Steve Miller comment in conjunction with Testament. However, Skolnick is pretty much untouchable when it comes to lead guitarists in the thrash scene. Its safe to say I wouldn't be much of a Testament fan if it weren't for him.

I'd never heard of Testament until a couple days ago. I was in Vegas this past weekend and had a V.I.P. invitation to go (the ex-husband of one of the people I was with is a friend of the band). We could not go to the concert 'cause we were chaperoning a bunch of high-schoolers in Vegas for a band tournament but would have gone if not for that.
