Look at it this way, bro. At least now there's less chance of them ****ing it up!
Especially with Mark Steven Johnson behind the wheel. I know an HBO series with an episode for each issue sounds great, but this is the guy that directed Daredevil and Ghost Rider. I don't like the idea of him anywhere near my mother****ing Preacher.

true...probably would have cast F'n Nic Cage as Jesse and ben affleck as Cassidy...but still, the only way to do any justice to Preacher is to do it as a series...hey FX wanna give it a go it seems that HBO is out of the edgy series sweepsteaks.
B.T.W. if any of you recent Watchmen readers have stumbled on this thread, by all means...get this series. It's in trade paperbacks...8 or 9 of 'em I think...well, go on...you have your reading assignment.

Holy ****... I had no idea it was the same guy that directed both those flicks.
I fully expect any theatrical version to be watered down and lame. There's no studio on earth that's going to put that kind of money into that kind of depravity.
Preacher is awesome enough that it doesn't need to be made into a show or movie. Let it remain immortalized on paper, and if the trades aren't enough to tickle your nuts and give you the best comic book induced boner you've ever had, there something seriously wrong with you.
If it's not made, it's not going to get ****ed up. I agree.
