Sam Mendes directing and the writer of Big Fish on board...this comic is bound to be made into a movie...it's in good hands. Let's all hope that WATCHMEN paves the way for major studios to take a chance on R-rated comic booooo.....errrrr graphic novels....
SmytheKing, if you want to hear 'fanboys' crying to the heavens...WHY,LORD,WHY?????, wait until this one gets made. And I cannot recommend the entire run(collected in graphic novels) highly enough. If you read these you will realize why 'fanboys' are so passionate about keeping true to the material.

yeah well wait until they can figure a way to condense this one...
People will go out of their minds. Funny, Sam Mendes would be my first choice for a director if they ever did figger out a way to bite into the massive STORY. I know none of us want these movies to happen...but the writer of BIG FISH and Sam 'American Beauty' Mendes...at least if it fails, it will be a spectacular failure.
